Haylie (and her soccer club) was challenged by one of her coaches to make 10000 shots on goal between July 1-Aug 21. If she did 3500 she earned a hoodie and if she did 10000 the first 5 earned a soccer goal for our yard, and possibly 4 new soccer balls. She made the 3500 quick, then moved on up to 4300 where she stopped for awhile, due to reunions, vacations, and plain not wanting to do it anymore. Then on August 3rd one of her friends made the 10000. This motivated her to start up again. We were waking up early and doing shots and then going out again at night. We had 8 balls and she would kick and we (all 5 of us) would get the balls she kicked and get them back to her. It took her 3 weeks to do the 4300 and it took her 8 days to do the remaining 5700! A total of approximately 25 hours. We decided we need to put a picture of her brothers in the back on the net somewhere because she seemed to hit them in the head/face all the time. Tate finally figured out he was safer behind the net to get the ones she hit over/around the net.
We aren't sure if we really want a goal in our yard, it seems kind of like giving the guy who won a pizza contest a life time supply of pizza. Either way we are PROUD of you Haylie for accomplishing a huge goal (and not the soccer kind)!

Way to go Haylie!!! As you know 10,000 is a lot. Congrats to the rest of the family for being there to catch and return the 10,000 to you.-Laura
That is dedication!
