24th Fun!

On Friday since Tom had the day off we headed up to Idaho and spent the weekend with my parents and sister. Once we finally got there (after returning home 3 times) we loaded up and went river rafting. On the first set of rapids I think all of us hit our bottoms on the same huge rock hiding right under the surface of the water, we then quickly learned "bottoms up" any time the rapids looked not so nice. The first time we went Kylie fell off after running into a pole holding up a bridge. I jumped in after her because I knew she was terrified and if I didn't the current would take me far away from her. I got a hold of her but the current was taking us down the river too fast to get back on the tube. In the process of trying to move to the side where there was calmer water I banged my knee 3 times on 3 different rocks. Looking back now I probably should of had it looked at for stitches, butterfly bandage, or glue to close it up. Hopefully Tom will still love me with a little scare on my knee;) After the river we headed back to my parents house and decided to stop and let the kids try the flume (a canal going over the road) They had a blast and loved it.

That night Tom and Robert stayed up till the wee hours of the morning playing PS3, when Tom finally came to bed he realized he had lost his wedding ring. Talk about a sick feeling. So our Friday brought us 3 trips back home before we could actually leave for good, one daughter a little traumatized from her plunge in the river, but brave enough to do it again, one banged up knee that constantly hurt, on badly bruised bum (Tom) and one lost wedding ring. And yet we still had a ton of fun. Luckily for us, Saturday Tom had the thought to look in his glasses case and there was his RING! He remembers taking it off and he remembers putting it back on but it somehow was there! Oh how THANKFUL we are!

Kaden stayed in the truck with grandpa and followed us along and occasionally tried to hit us with rocks (prompted by grandpa).
Saturday morning we headed to Pap's house (a.k.a.grandpa) to watch the amazingly not so long Weston Parade! Even though it was only 15 minutes my kids were loaded with tons of candy! We then headed over for little carnival games, air plane drop, and watching kids try and catch a bunny and some chickens (poor bunny was so scared it didn't even move).

Then Saturday afternoon we took a relaxing boat ride! We had fun watching the fish jump every where, and fishing (throwing Tate's fishing line out and catching the little red fish attached to it, somehow never got old).

Looks like you had a very "eventful" and fun trip! Cute pics. I am Jealous, but only of the fun parts not the unfun parts. Does that make sense?
