Kids and funny things...

I was changing a poopy diaper of Kaden's the other day and he decided to look in it (I know way gross) he then goes "mmmm, mom chocolate!" YUCK!!!! I'm now worried that he will take it off sometime and try to eat the "chocolate". He then told me yesterday that he had chocolate in his diaper. Good in the fact that he is telling me it is time to change it but how to make him realize it isn't chocolate????

Tom has been out of town this week and was a little concerned that he had a plane ticket home but apparently no seats on the plane. He finally got a seat last night, yea!!! Haylie then says "Oh good, now dad won't have to ride in the bathroom on the plane all the way home!"

Tate was just funny last night...after sitting at the table for over an hour staring at his chicken nugget (this kids eats nothing) he finally decided he would try a bite. He broke it into pieces and closed his eyes, scrunched up his little face and then went iny, miny, miney mo, he then picked one decided that one was too big and would do it over and over till he found the smallest piece which he then gagged down and all most threw it up. Don't you love our nightly dinner ritual with him. AHHHH

Kylie is still fighting me on reading every night does any one have ideas to make reading fun for a child who struggles with it and hates it because it is too hard for them?????

I made Maycie alphabet, shape, color, etc. flashcards. I use her princess treasure box I made and went and bought little candies/prizes from the dollar store. Every time she does all the flash cards...by herself...she gets to pick a prize from her treasure box. She loves it and ASKS ME if she can do her "letter cards".

Find a book that you can make sound effects with. For example, One of Dixon's favorite books is 'How do dinosaurs eat their food'. We choose different words that will be our sound effect words. Last night we read it and his words were "Dinosaur"-roooooaaaaar sound, "Chewed"- chchchchch sound and "belch"-icky burp noise. At halloween time we read "There was an old lady that swallowed a bat" That book has TONS of good sound effect words...like cat, bat, goblin, owl, etc. GOOD LUCK!
