This Saturday was busy and crazy yet fun! We left the house around 9:30 to go to Lowe's and build Pirate Ships with my scouts! The kids had so much fun and they love their goggles!
Then it was off to run a few errands, then off to a picnic at the park, then Haylie's soccer game. Haylie did really good despite the fact she has been sick all week long and still wasn't feeling 100%. The poor girl even got hit in the face with a soccer ball...man that's gotta hurt. After the game the kids were all hot from being outside for 3 1/2 hrs and wanted some ice cream so off we go for ice cream. We then decided (after talking to Chelsie and Robert) to go up the canyon for dinner and some fun! The boys (Tom and Robert) were able to shot their guns, the kids were able to throw rocks in the river, climb the hills, play bingo, make smores, and just plain get dirty. I think Kaden's favorite thing was to throw things in the fire. He would bring me a handful of food and ask me if he could throw it in the fire. I would tell him "no", he would then "accidentally" drop it on the ground, say "yucky, now throw in fire". He did this all night long. We had an enjoyable evening enjoying Heavenly Father's creations and then yummy food also. Thanks for the idea Chelsie!
So needless to say...the house didn't get cleaned the laundry didn't get done and we didn't care. We were able to spend time together as a family. Which was extra nice since Tom had been in D.C. all week and we all missed him very much.

There is nothing I love more than being in the canyon! Glad you had a great Saturday and Tom made it home safe.
I always mean to get Belle to Lowes for this and I never remember about it. Looks like a good time.
Looks like a fun weekend. When we visit Utah we love being in the canyon. cute pictures!
